Infiniti has revealed a facelift version of its Infiniti FX SUV, ahead of car’s official launch at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this month.
The facelifted Infiniti FX will go on sale in the US in 2012 featuring a range of styling changes inspired by the Essence concept, first revealed at the Geneva motor show in 2009.
Changes to the new Infiniti FX include a new front grille and a new front fascia. Different alloy wheel designs are also offered. The interior’s minor refresh includes heated seats and a new instrument cluster.
Engine options include a 303bhp 3.5-litre V6 and a 390bhp 5.0-litre V8, both offered with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and equipped with a seven-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
Also confirmed by Infiniti is a limited-edition version of the FX – called FX35 Limited Edition. It gets unique 21-inch alloys, an Iridium Blue paintjob, tinted headlights and special floor mats as well as aluminium pedals.
The revised FX range will be launched alongside a new seven-seat JX SUV at Pebble Beach. But neither the limited edition or JX look destined for the UK, despite the FX already being offered here. And there is no word on when the facelift will come to these shores, either.
“We have no immediate intention to adopt the [FX] changes in Europe, the markets work very differently,” Infiniti confirmed to Autocar.
