Four years after its launch, the Audi A4 is to undergo a mid-life facelift and looks set to borrow design cues and technology from the new A6.
Though heavily disguised, the Avant model pictured here appears to stick closely to the Audi design formula, but with sharper front-end styling including the tapered headlights and refreshed grille from the Audi Q3 and A1.
At the rear fresh LED light clusters debut, but the biggest changes are likely to be inside.
The updated model is expected to benefit from a new and improved MMI control system alongside an increased equipment list that will add features from the more luxurious A6.
Under the bonnet, buyers can expect increased economy and lower emissions courtesy of a revised engine line-up, whilst Audi’s forthcoming 3.0-litre twin-turbo TDI engine may make its A4 debut as a high performance diesel flagship.
No on-sale date has been set yet but it is expected to be later this year, in time for the arrival of the new BMW 3 Series. For more details click here.
